After getting the shop finished, I was all gung ho to start.
I had no idea even where to start. I would recommend a person sit down and
make a list A-Z. I believe I did extra work since I am a newbie but it was
all fun.
I started taking apart the things I could. I knew the doors
and windows would be first.
I then started on body. This is a great time to get a LARGE
can of wd-40. Most of the bolts where very rusty and snapped off when alot
of pressure was applied. I figure this was ok since I will be replacing
most of them anyways.
After numerous cuts and %7&@# I finally got Rusty's body
off.
Next was the cab. I recommend having alot of friends for this one. I didn't remove steering shaft first so I had to pick up and slide backwards. "Would do different now".

After 50 years you can imagine the dirt and grim. I used a gallon of degreaser and a power washer to knock off the big stuff, There is no easy way. Time to get dirty with the elbow grease and the wire brush.

My youngest loved this part. His mother didn't. I don't know how many times we had to strip at the backdoor just to go in the house. Go on to page 2 to see what was next.
