IFS

Wow. As I work my way the this project, there are times when I wonder if I have bit off more than I can chew. The Mustang IFS kit that I bought from Chevy Duty was one of those times.

I checked in the catalogs and thought that this would be just a bolt on job. They look so good in the pictures. To my surprise, I recieved 8 boxes and 1,000's of pieces, ( so it seemed.

Well, I already spent over budget, so what was $500 more, I went looking for someone that could do it right.

First thing I did was load the frame up on a trailer, for a weekend work session to get it put on.

He had the set-up to do it and the knowledge

.

Still shocked to see the hours of cleaning and blasting frame pay off.

I forgot to mention that he also was adding the rearend kit that I got from Chevy Duty. Those are new rear springs. I thought what the heck. I got them from Rico's, he saved me alot on them.

I recommend having the IFS put on by a pro. Would hate to spend that money and then get it out of line.

The rest of this page is just extra pictures, I have to start a new page to show the finished project. I was shocked and please at the reults. be sure to check the picture of a rotten crossmember, see how I fixed it.
