City Light, Gas and Water Completes Fiber Loop

Kennett City Light, Gas, Water is pleased to announce the completion of our fiber optic backbone. The fiber optic backbone will be used to monitor and control various operations carried out at remote locations for which CLGW is responsible. Additional capacity was built into the back bone at no additional cost. The additional capacity is available to be used for internet traffic or point to point connections within the city.

Fiber To The Business

Kennett Board of Public Works has decided to offer to the businesses in Kennett access to the additional capacity in the form of Fiber To The Business(FTTB). The testing has been completed and FTTB is ready to be released to local businesses.

Benefits of FTTB

Some of the benefits of FTTB are:

Fiber is not susceptible to degradation like existing copper lines. This means less maintenance which leads to a lower cost to the end user.
