Power Factor Penalty
The power factor of the customer shall be not less than 95% at the time of measurement of the maximum billing capacity. If the power factor is less than 95%, the billing capacity shall be equal to the measured capacity multiplied by 95% and divided by the percent power factor. If the power factor is greater than 95% there will be no change in the billing capacity.
FUEL & PURCHASE POWER ADJUSTMENTS
Fuel and purchase power adjustments may be added to the listed rates when necessary.
PAYMENT PENALTY
Prompt payment of all utility bills is encouraged by using a net gross system of adding 5% to the schedule rates if the bills are not paid by the due date.
Fees for outside of City Limits ($20) and Power Factor charges will not change.
MOSQUITO FEE
Mosquito fees of $2 per month will be charged on each electric service location.
SALES TAX
All commercial and small industrial accounts will be assessed sales tax on all charges except sewer, internet, state fees, and mosquito fees, unless an exemption applies. The current sales tax rate is 9.1625%.
